Mike Hackett
B.Sc. Counselling and Psychotherapy, PMP, MARCHTI, MIACP
Mike began his journey into the counselling profession as a result of his experience of volunteering with a Dublin telephone helpline, where he worked for over 10 years. His experiences in that time, motivated him to train as a counsellor, in order to help people in emotional pain to heal and move forward with their lives, their relationships and themselves.
In 2006, Mike qualified with the Diploma in Counselling Competence � the minimum standard required to practice as a therapist in Ireland, and then graduated with an Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in London (focussing particularly on Dream Work in Counselling).
Mike is a member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MIACP) and a registered member of the Association for Registered Complimentary Health Therapists of Ireland (ARCHTI).
Mike founded Introspect Counselling in 2007 to provide a healing, therapeutic space for clients seeking help and support with their current difficulties, and also to provide training and skills development for therapists and individuals interested in the area of dreams and dream work, as well as other aspects of counselling and psychotherapy.
Introspect counselling is Dublin City Centre based and covers a broad range of support services including;
